LIVERPOOL (AFP) - Everton captain Phil Neville revealed Friday he has signed a new four-year deal that will keep him at Goodison Park until 2012.

The 31-year-old England international defender said Everton was "the only club that I want to play for" and revealed he was "proud" to be extending his stay.

The former Manchester United star told evertonTV: "First of all I am really proud that the club has offered me a four-year contract.

"I've been here three seasons now and I have to say that I've loved every minute of it.

"I'd like to think that I have immersed myself into the club culture.

"It's something I had to do after being at one club for about 16 years but it was easy for me to do because from day one this club sucks you in.

"From the outside looking in you don't know what to expect but I found when I came here that the spirit and the togetherness of the club is fantastic."

Neville said the new deal was tied up very quickly.

"Loyalty is a big thing in my life and this is the only club that I want to play for. It's a great club and I want to finish my career here," he added.

Great to see Phil getting a new four year deal. He left Manchester United and reinvented himself at Everton. He is a good strong loyal player like his brother and I wish him nothing more than the best. Good on you Phil.

Gentlemen, I would like to know if any team broke the world record for the fastest goal held by Fiorentina in the year 1956-7 Serie A season. They scored the first goal after 11 seconds. I don't remember if the player was Guido Gratton, Virgili or Montuori. Help me on this one!
